When objects have longer and similar names, it is impossible to identify which one you are looking for in the global search.
If in the right pane with the details of an object you could add custom properties it would be possible to identify if it is the object you are looking for.
For example if you are selling to MacDonalds the search results will give you multiple results showing ‘MacDonalds New York’. It is impossible to identify in the global search which one is already your customer and which one not.
