Unable to access tasks

Hello,

I am trying to access the tasks assigned to me, but I am unable to do so via either the website or the mobile app.

On Monday, they were properly assigned to me, but since my manager changed my permissions (on Tuesday), I no longer have access and am seeing an error message instead.

Homepage when I log in to Hubspot.

Error message when I try to access tasks (clicking “access default view” doesn’t change anything):

I should mention that I have cleared the cache, deleted data, logged out, etc.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hey @Faustine-Sinquin,

Welcome to the community!

Thanks for sharing those screenshots. that’s helpful context!

It does sound like the permission change on Tuesday is likely what’s blocking your task access. Your manager or a Super Admin may need to review which permissions were adjusted.

A couple of resources that might help in the meantime:

Tagging in a few folks from the community in case they have any other suggestions.

Hey @UlianaV, @EugeneAtKiwi, @Liana_Preston – do you have any advice for @Faustine-Sinquin on this?

Thanks!!

Sam, Community Manager

Hey @Faustine-Sinquin

It seems that your seat was changed to a “Developer” seat—a free seat that provides access only to the developer platform. You’ll need at least a View Only seat to be able to access the data in this portal or a Core seat or one of the Hub seats (like Sales) to be able to edit and access other features. You can read more about seat types here.

Hello @Faustine-Sinquin,

The first thing to do would be to contact your administrator and ask them to restore your task access permissions: Manage user permissions

If this removal was unintentional, they can restore them for you. If they do not wish for you to have access to tasks, it appears that you should not have access to them.

In your screenshot, you are in the “Development” section of HubSpot, rather than the tasks section, which suggests that you have been assigned a “Developer” account.

It seems that your administrator wanted to reduce costs by not assigning you a “Core” account. You can let them know that a “Developer” account is not sufficient for working on tasks. A “Core” account is required. Assign and manage seats

I hope this helps.
