I receive a daily spreadsheet report from an off-platform distributor of our samples. The format lists every sample SKU pulled on the previous day, and so Company, Contact, and Project info is duplicated in the spreadsheet if a client pulls multiple samples for the same Project.
I would like to be able to import this spreadsheet on a daily basis into our list of Leads. I hope and assume that HubSpot would identify the duplicate Companies/Contacts, while preserving the metrics about individual SKUs and quantities sampled, as these metrics are important for our market intelligence.
When a sampled SKU progresses into a request for an estimate, the Lead will convert into a Deal. Should that Deal be approved, it will convert into a sale.
I took the time to create dedicated Leads properties that match each of the columns in my daily spreadsheet, but HubSpot is not able to perform a bulk import on Leads. Can this functionality be added to the site?
Please add this functionality. The “pull in” leads function is not enough. Not all companies view the customer lifecycle journey as linear which only allows someone to be a lead through it once. A contact can be a lead multiple times in their lifecycle with a company for cross sell or through further penetration initiatives to sell more of a portfolio.
When I upload contacts I need the ability to also have the option to trigger a lead for some of those contact records and directly import in properties from the lead workspace too.
This is an absolute MUST - lots of companies transitioning to HubSpot want to transition deals from ‘lead’ pipelines to the Lead object and pipelines in HubSpot but there is no easy way to do this.
Let us import Leads!!
Seems daft tbh that this is not something that can be done – we can import Deals, which have a similar taxonomy to leads, seems so strange that it wasn’t built from the start for leads.
Our usecase: we have a lead created for free trials which we want to push free trial usage data into (this sits best on a lead because the lead data aggregates free trial usage across multiple contacts). If I could simply upload a CSV of activity with a matching UID, then I could just do that as a weekly dump, however, now I have to have our engineering team build an API integration.
It would be great if we can import lead updates, same to other objects. There have been cases where a workflow hasn’t assigned many leads, so manually updating information on them is a hassle.
I find this as a huge hurdle when doing all my sales migrations. Migrating data from other platforms and optiising them into the Lead object in HubSpot is very challenging when you are unable to import the existing data directly into HubSpot. Deal, Companies, Contacts all good but when you get to the Leads it is a HUGE raod block and extrememyl timeconsuming to do this manually.
Another use case is when teams are issued leads outside of the portal and wish to upload leads from data sheets from various sources. Not having the ability to do this is very frustrating.
If anyone has ideas on how to bulk import leads with custom fields it would be greatly appreciated.
HUBSPOT PLEASE expand the Lead object to allow for importing.
Not being able to bulk import leads is a MASSIVE pain-point. It is causing tons of manual workarounds to do something that should take no more than 2 minutes.
I love how it state (all objects) but then you can’t import leads. Leads are classified as object, right?? I have had this conversation with HubSpot and got nowhere. I was advised that it is not something the developers are currently working on. Which is odd considering HubSpot actually implies that it can import ALL objects.
