@CMancuso I get where you’re coming from — this has been frustrating for us too. When I explained the issue to HubSpot Support, it felt like they didn’t fully understand the use case or how common this need might be. But it’s a fairly standard and reasonable request.
If my customer’s invoice is due on 30th May, I simply want to send it automatically on 15th May — two weeks earlier — so they have time to review and pay.
The current workflow suggests setting the subscription date to 15th May, so the invoice goes out then. But the issue is that HubSpot prints 15th May as the start date on the invoice — not 30th May — which can be misleading. In some regions, this could even raise compliance concerns, since it appears the customer is being charged for access before the actual start date.
I’m not expecting a quick fix, but it doesn’t seem like a major change — just allow users to set the actual subscription period and choose a separate invoice send date. That would solve it.
