24 Hour Link to Files in Contact Record is Insufficient

Having only the option of sharing an attachment located in the contact record with a link that expires after 24 hours is woefully insufficient. People are busy; email is often not monitored with sufficient frequency to avoid missing the window. This period should be customizable, also potentially with the option allowing a permanent link within the context of their secure Support portal.
