Slack alert - Old Amount and New Amount

Hello!

I'm building out a series of Slack alerts around changes in deals. I built one for when the Amount changes, but would like to include the previous Amount value.

I'm thinking about how I could save this value in a "history" field OR use the value from "1 day ago" to compare.

Any ideas here? Thank you in advance!

Hi @KatyG1,

Here's what you could do:

Create an Old amount property
Create a workflow that reenrols records when Amount changes, them delays for 10 minutes, them copies the value from Amount to Old amount

As long as the Slack message is sent within those 10 minutes, Old amount will not have been updated to the new amount yet and you can include it in a Slack notification.
