Outlook on MAC - Plug in cause cursor to automatically move to cc field

Hi everyone,

I have the HubSpot Plug-in on Outlook on my MAC.

The issue is - when I reply to an email, or create a new email and insert the contact I am sending it to, more often than not I 'tab' down to start typing the content of the email/reply - after a second or two, the plug-in loads (to load up the contact based on the email inserted) and when that's done, the typing cursor automatically move to the cc'd field.

This is rather annoying, as I then have to manually click 'tab' twice each and every time to get back into the body of the email where I was typing. Sometimes if I don't pay attention I kept on typing and ended up typing out a whole sentence or paragraph in the cc'd line...

I also have a screen recording of this issue I can send if anyone needs it to help me (as I cannot attached it here).

Have anyone faced this issue and is there a fix?

Thanks for reaching out to the Community!

Let's start a basic troubleshooting process to identify where the error may be occurring.

Double check you have the correct version installed for your Outlook and computer type. For a Mac, you'd want the Office 365 add-in.
Try to turn off any extensions/plugins within Outlook for Mac to see if they could be interfering with the HubSpot extension.

I have the same issue. This has been an issue since I first installed the plug in and has been consistent with each update. The only solution I have found is to restart Outlook. Any help would be appreciated!

Thank you for your response.

The machine is brand new so yes, it's up to date and also on the latest version of Outlook as well. I don't have any other plug-ins installed so nothing can interfere with HubSpot.

In this case, I will need you to send me some information via DM so I can investigate further.

1. Debug logs for the extension.

2. Record a loom.

3. Collect a HAR file.

4. Collect Console logs.

I'm also experiencing this issue and it is really annoying. If I don't pay attention, I could either delete someone important from the cc: field or add someone who does not belong in the thread. Has there been ary resolution since the question was asked back in April?

I have no resolution from HubSpot. My work around it to close Outlook and reopen.

The HubSpot Sales Outlook desktop add-in does not support Outlook for Mac. You can instead use the web add-in for outlook.
