Email sending display name keeps changing

Hello,

I am having problems with the display name on my emails keep changing to a random email address rather than show the orginial sender name e.g.

From: "Joe Bloggs" turns into... "joe.bloggs@hubspotfree.eu1.hs-send.com" and becomes the name displayed, when I just want it to say "Joe Bloggs".

I have used HubSpot before and never had any issues with the display name, I even set up a new account in case I was doing somethign wrong. Someone please help!

What kind of emails are you referring to here? Are they marketing emails? Sales emails? Or emails sent directly from a record?

Thanks for the reply.

It's a normal marketing email. I sent myself some test emails and every time it comes through to my mailbox it appears with a random email address as the senders name rather than a regular name. If that makes sense?

It sounds like what is causing the issue is that you don't have an email sending domain connected to HubSpot. Is that correct?

Can I make it work without connecting a domain? I don't want my website linked to HubSpot, I'd like to just email a list of contacts some useufl information. Is that not possible?

Hi @TWedding,

Connecting an email domain is different to connecting your website domain. I have actually faced the same issue before and the only solution I found to it was to connect an email sending domain!
