Conditional properties in playbooks

Hey,

I use playbooks for deal qualification. The answer to each question is then updating the specific properties. I wanted to introduce some conditional properties. Ie: is this prospect using a competitor's solution? YES/NO => If yes, open a dropdown menu with a list of competitors.

I don't seem to be able to do this inside a playbook = if I include a question that corresponds to that first property, it won't trigger a second property.

Let me know if this is just how playbooks work or I'm missing any option.

@Edyta7510 - This functionality is not currently available in playbooks, though there is an idea submitted here for it which you can up-thumb to follow the progress of.

It is possible to have conditional properties within the Create record form or CRM record left sidebar, which may solve your issue for now. More info linked here.

However, the left side bar is not completely clean. We really need conditionals in playbooks to make the tool really usefull. DDK

Hi, I'm Winnie the Playbooks PM. We just went into Private Beta with Conditional Properties in Playbooks this week. It allows for dependent fields or conditional property options in Playbooks.

The rollout is for property based conditional logic. It does not include section based conditional logic nor if/then branching.

If conditional sections or if/then logic branching is what you're looking for, I'd love to learn more! That isn't possible in current Playbooks given the way it was built so my team is actively exploring a new feature we're calling Process Guides for enforcing process in HubSpot. A big part of this feature will be conditional sections / steps and multi-step flows.

We're gathering input from customers on what the top processes they care about are. Check out the loom linked in this survey to see a demo of an early proof of concept and and help us out by filling out the survey by Dec 15th, 2024!

Did this project go anywhere? We see a use case where a qualification call is happening and based on different outcomes/discussions the questions should change e.g. areas of advice, do they want a call now or in the future, do they have kids etc they result in different pages/questions being surfaced.

Thank you for posting to the Community! Conditional property logic is available within the Playbook tool.

You would first need to add the Conditional Logic to the property by following the steps here. After that, you would need to add the property to the Playbook and then the Conditional Logic will pop-up when selecting the value under the property.

Yeah that's not quite what I mean. That opens up a pop up to fill in the properties seperately. I was more thinking like conditional fields in a form.

Based on inputs, different fields would appear within the playbook to cater the questions on a call for example as not all questions are relevant but you don't know that until later on.
