Add Properties to Quote

I am looking to use a specific quote template to trigger a workflow once it is approved / accepted. Is there a way to identify a specific quote type? Thinking I need to add a property to do this, but then I am not sure if there is a way to attach that to my quote template.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Hi @SMcGill,

Currently, HubSpot doesn't support quote properties. Have you considered working around this by looking at specific line items used in this quote or by specific deal characteristics that trigger the usage of this quote? You can easily reference line items and deal properties in your workflow.

@karstenkoehler -- Thank you for this. I am still somewhat new with Hubspot yet. I had a feeling I could not add properties to a quote. I will look into this work around, and see if I can get this to trigger as wanted.

If you get stuck with HubSpot quotes, I have a solution using Portant, our Certified HubSpot App. You can create the quote templates with Google Slides and then export them to Powerpoint.

Totally different use case, but I also would love to see the ability to have custom properties on a Quote.

My use case is that I want to be able to do something when a quote is "complete" (eSignatures are enabled, and all eSignatures have been collected).

There are properties for the number of eSigs and the number of eSigs completed, but I cannot figure out a straightforward way to comparing these two numbers, short of some sort of convoluted method that involves copying properties over to properties on a related deal or company, and then doing the comparison/calculation there.

Why wouldn't there be an ability to add custom field to quotes like everything else? Seems like a normal ask. Is it on the roadmap?

Custom properties on Quotes (i.e., treating quotes more like a full-fledge Hubspot object) would allow for more re-enrollment possibilities. While referencing deal properties in a Quote workflow trigger is straightforward, it becomes far less so when dealing with re-enrollment, since "properties can only be used for re-enrollment when they're the same type as the workflow. For example, in company-based workflows, you can only re-enroll using company properties." Add re-enrollment triggers to a workflow
