Date when Deal Stage Updated

Hey there,

I am looking to create a report to show on a weekly basis, the number of deals that have been updated to a new stage in the pipeline and to which corresponding stage it was updated to.

I tried to use last modified date or last activity date but don't think those are the right fields ideally it would be a "Last modified date for Deal Stage" - is there a pre-created field for this or would it need to be a custom one?

Hi @SPoh,

There is a default report for this under Menu > Reports > Analytics tools > Sales Analytics > Forecasts & Pipelines > Deal change history.

This might be what you're looking for, out of the box.

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. The report is similar to what I am looking for but i would also like to look at it across time.

This would like be visualised on a weekly basis on one chart the amount of deals at each stage and how the trend across a time period ie YTD using our custom deal stages vs pre-set ones in the report suggested above.

Hi @SPoh,

As far as I know, this is not possible. The custom report builder is not powerful enough to enable this kind of report. The sales analytics reports can be filtered by date range and theoretically you could place different date ranges next to each other on a dashboard. If that's close to what you'd like to achieve, that would be a good compromise.

@SPoh you could try the historical snapshot report in the Sales Analytics tool, this would show you the change in quantities of deals per stage as well as revenue. It may not solve exactly what you're looking for but it's the closest that Hubspot can get off the shelf.

Hi,

to capture the last 7 days activity including Today and the timeline changes of Deal stage, Forecast, and the close date, create Custom Property as below,

1. Previous Deal Stage(for copy trigger), Deal stage time line activity (date picker)

2. Previouse Forecast Category(for copy trigger) ( forecast timeline activity - date picker)

3. Previous Close Date (for copy trigger) (close date timeline activity - date picker)

Create a Workflow and set property for both to capture the Previous date and Previous Deals Attributes.

then create a custom report, adding X-Axis with Date Time Activity(Deal Chnage), y-axis add count of deals and breakdown by Deal Stage (Hubspot Default Property)

in sales analytics, you will be able to see only the deals that has been pushed back to Closed lost or not forecasted, but this custom workflow will capture all the deal stage, fore cast stage , close date change including today.
