&lt;P&gt;If you're asking for an email address then yes, for new visitors providing their email address, HubSpot should create a conversation, a new contact record and show it in the right sidebar. I just tested this again with a fresh chatbot in my own portal.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;What happens when you go through the chatbot using the &lt;EM&gt;Preview&lt;/EM&gt; option in the chatbot builder?&amp;nbsp;Could you complete your bot steps using the &lt;EM&gt;Preview&lt;/EM&gt; option and share a screenshot of the resulting conversation in your inbox?&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;What happens when you draft a new chatbot, same behavior?&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If you feel like this is a bug, you could also reach out to HubSpot support via the purple in-app widget.&lt;/P&gt;

      <title>How to capture contact and email address via Chatbot</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi there, I set up a chatbot chatflow. While the setup worked OK, I don't seem to figure out how to capture email address and name so it will come up later in my inbox including the chat itself. Currently, I can see the chat coming up in my inbox, but with no information on who filled it out. I added a question, asking to sub their email address at least, but still, the user comes up as an unknown visitor in my inbox. I currently run it on a non accessible landing page, testing it with my own contact. I can see that chat coming up when clicking on my own contact, but apart from that, there is no information in the chat coming in via inbox. I've searched it already here and there is an option "Ask visitors for their email address" but this option isn't available for me to chose, maybe bc I already set the chatbot up?! Helppppp....&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Please have a look at my screenshot, showing my current set up.
