Core Users Need Sales Hub to Manage Templates

Hi,

We created our HubSpot account in 2019. At the time, there were no "seat" licenses, and our management team had access to view, edit and create different things like message templates. This is a big deal for us because we want the templates to reflect consistent messaging.

Since the different "seat" types were introduce we lost access to that. How is it that Core seats don't have the ability to even see, let alone manage the different sales features? Is this not possible to do anymore? I get restricting access so that only certain users can use them to send out of HubSpot, but you've made managing HubSpot a lot harder and more expensive.

Please note: to create and edit more than the first three templates, you must meet one of the following criteria:

If you are a user in a Sales or Service Hub Starter account, you must have an assigned Core Seat.

If you are a user in a Sales or Service Hub Professional or Enterprise account, you must have an assigned Sales Hub or Service Hub S eat.

Starting September 18th, 2024, the number of templates users can access will depend on the account creation date. Users who don’t have Sales access can create and edit the first three or five templates in the account.

Accounts created prior to September 18th 2024, can edit, access and use the first five templates in the account. For accounts created after September 18th, the limit is be three templates.If there are no documents in the account, the user can create and edit up to three or five templates in total, based on the account creation date.

You can view the total number of templates that have already been created in your account in the top right corner on the templates dashboard. Learn more about these limits in HubSpot's Product & Services catalog.

From my experience, it's futile trying to fight these pricing or packaging decisions. You're best chance is to reach out to your customer success manager and make the point to them. They have options of escalating topics internally.

Realistically however, nothing is going to move the needle here. This is a change from 2024 already.
