Agreed! A quote template is a bare necessity for any sales operation. Any workflow that triggers off a quote's associated contact is useless when contact associations are unreliable

I would like to be able to create a quote ‘master template’ that pre-fills line items, terms, and settings but starts with no buyers (or add an ‘Exclude parties’ option when cloning).

Currently, we have a "Master Quote" that we clone so that it carries over the product, price, purchase notes, expiration date, etc. But, when we clone this quote, it carries over ALL of the old contacts that we've used this quote for. It gets cluttered and messy over time.

I would love to be able to use a Quote Template to add the line item (price, description, etc.) that we could use when creating new Quotes.

Thanks for the consideration!

Hey @Ryanz - thanks for posting in the Community!

As far as I know, and based on what I've found researching this, your current set up is the closest we'll get to achieving your goal. Although, I can certainly understand the need for being able to use one quote template that would allow you to only carry specific information from quote to quote.

With that said, I highly recommend posting this idea in our Ideas Forum. It would allow other users to upvote your idea, and it would act as a direct line of communication to our Products Team! If you do post this idea, please feel free to link it here - I'm happy to upvote it!

Shane, Community Manager
