E-mail notification

Hello! I’ve been using HubSpot for over three years—initially on a paid plan, and since March I’ve been on the free version.

Over the past five months I never hit the 200-notification limit, but between August 1 and 5 it was suddenly exceeded, even though I couldn’t have had that many email opens.

What could cause this behavior? Is it a glitch, or might there be another explanation? Thank you!

It's hard to say what exactly is happening without knowing which activity occurred and which notifications were shown.

Generally, this applies: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/prospecting/view-your-sales-notifications-in-the-activity-feed

Users without an assigned seat and accounts with free tools can receive up to 200 sales activity notifications per month. If the monthly limit is reached, you can send tracked emails and receive real-time notifications, but your activity feed will not show notifications (they'll be blurred) until the count resets on the first calendar day of the next month.

To investigate what exactly happened, access to HubSpot support would be required – which is a paid feature, unfortunately. If you can afford upgrading to any subscription for a month (the cheapest Starter hub, for example), that would give you access to support who can investigate this.

Thanks, but I suspect my email notification count has been artificially inflated—there’s no way there could have been so many opens in just five days, especially since two of those were non-working days.
