Chatflow not appearing on Firefox and Edge desktop

Hi there,

We have a website here: https://www.performancenetworks.co.uk/. We have the WordPress plugin installed and have turned on a chat flow. It displays in Brave and Chrome, but no tin Firefox and Edge on desktop. On mobile, it is working on Edge, Firefox and Chrome.

I’ve just tested the chatflow on your website in both Firefox and Edge on desktop, and it's displaying correctly. Please see the reference screenshots below for confirmation.

The issue may be related to local browser settings, specifically those related to privacy and tracking.

In Firefox: Disable “Enhanced Tracking Protection” for your site and then reload the page. This setting can sometimes block HubSpot scripts.
(You can do this by clicking the shield icon in the address bar.)

In Edge: Navigate to Settings > Privacy, Search, and Services and try lowering the tracking prevention level, or add your domain to the exceptions list.

Once those settings are adjusted, refresh the site, and the chatflow should appear. Let me know if the issue persists after these changes. Happy to help troubleshoot further!

Hi Arisudan, and thank you for the comprehensive reply. This does fix the issue for me. However, what about all the users who visit the site. They will never see the chatbot which renders it useless. We just migrated from Olark chat, which didn't have this issue.

To improve chatflow visibility across all browsers, especially where privacy features might block HubSpot scripts (like in Firefox or Edge), make sure the HubSpot tracking script is loaded as early as possible on your site.

You can add the following code to your WordPress theme’s header.php file (or use a plugin like Header and Footer Scripts)

(Note: Replace OUR_PORTAL_ID with your actual HubSpot portal ID.)

If that still doesn’t resolve the issue, here's a useful workaround:

Add a fallback CTA – Place a sticky “Chat with Us” button on your site that links either to your contact form or a standalone HubSpot chat URL. This way, even if the widget fails to load due to browser settings, visitors still have a clear path to connect with your team.

Thank you again Arisudan. We are using the WordPress Hubspot pluign so have no control over where the script loads as it chooses where it is loaded. I note that there is :

Which is in the footer. However, the Olark code we previously used was also in the footer and worked.

Presumably Hubspot know where it should go if they have chosen to load it in the footer, but you say to load it in the header., so I am confused.

Same issue happened with my site happymoodhub.com before—chatflow was missing on Firefox/Edge desktop but showed fine on Chrome/Brave. But by the thank of god , my problem was solved.

Here's what worked for me:

Make sure tracking protection is off in Firefox/Edge for your site.
Clear site cache & re-save plugin settings in WordPress.
Check if any browser extension (like adblocker) is blocking scripts.
Ensure the chatflow script loads over HTTPS without mixed content.

@DRobinson36 off the tracking protection of firefox/edge. clear your site cache and thn re-save wordpress plugin settings. off the ad blockers etc, maybe they are blcoking the script
