Property syncing

I am trying to create a Lead Source propety using the property sync field type. But I keep getting this error message. I have managed to set other properties using this exact method.

If you’re getting errors trying to sync the Lead Source property, it’s probably because HubSpot doesn’t allow syncing with system or default properties like Lead Source. Property sync only works with custom properties of the same type.
Here are a few things to double-check:

Both the source and target properties should be custom (not system defaults).
They must be the same field type.
The sync needs to be between supported objects like Contact → Company, or Deal → Company, etc.

Also, sometimes a browser issue could be the culprit. If you haven’t already, try clearing your cache, disabling extensions, or switching browsers.

If none of that helps, there might be something specific to your account setup. In that case, it’s worth reaching out to HubSpot Support so they can take a closer look.
