Hi team,

is there a way to automatically update a deal with the MRR once a quote has been created?

We have a deal property called "MRR" that's populated by sales at the beginning of the sales process. It's merely an estimate and I would like to overwrite it with what's actually quoted as MRR once a quote has been created. However, there doesn't seem to be a field called MRR (or similar) on quote level, even though every quote seperately displays one-off and recurring payments.

Yes, you can automate the update of a deal's Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) based on the recurring line items in a quote.

Step 1: Ensure Recurring Line Items Are Properly Configured

When creating a quote, add line items with a recurring billing frequency (e.g., monthly, annually). HubSpot uses these to calculate MRR and other recurring revenue metrics.

Step 2: Use Workflows to Update the Deal's MRR Property

You can create a workflow that triggers when a quote is created or updated. This workflow can then calculate the MRR based on the associated line items and update the deal's MRR property accordingly. This ensures that the MRR reflects the actual quoted amount rather than the initial estimate.

Step 3: Utilize HubSpot's Recurring Revenue Properties

Edit: I'm guessing that since we only have Professional, not Enterprise, setting up the revenue types is not available.

When creating a quote based workflow, I can only select these fields to populate the MRR field of the associated deal. Am I missing something?

You're correct, with HubSpot Professional, you do not have access to recurring revenue tracking or MRR-related fields on quotes. 😑
