Insights Removed and Charging for Breeze Intelligence

Does anyone else have an issue with Insights being removed mid contract and now replaced with chargeable Breezer Intelligence?

We now have to manually add a bunch of information to records on creation that would have just been there and it completely screws with database segmentation. Hubspot ahs just said "Tough Luck, Buy Breeze credits".

How can they remove functionality in the middle of an agreement and not give a comapritive offerign for the remainder of the contract?

It sounds like you're referring to the sunset of HubSpot Insights: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/object-settings/hubspot-insights-on-company-records

Please note: on March 17, 2025, HubSpot Insights will be sunset. After that date, you won't be able to access HubSpot Insights. Accounts created after September 18th, 2024 don't have any access to HubSpot Insights. To populate company information moving forward, learn more about migrating to Breeze Intelligence data enrichment.

Going forward, you would have to use the linked Breeze Intelligence features, if you're looking for a native solution. I agree that this is frustrating and there has been a lot of discussion on various platforms about this. I'm not going to argue on behalf of HubSpot – you (and potentially your legal team) would have to discuss this with your HubSpot customer success manager directly.

As an alternative to Breeze Intelligence, in the ecosystem, some tools have come up trying to fill the gap (neither tested nor endorsed by me), for example https://accountscout.app/

These third-party tools could be another option for you – but overall, yes, enriching company records has become more difficult.

There are as few of us HAPPY with this decision. The Insights database had serious flaws and would often enrich company records with incorrect, and often impossible data (things like pulling in the wrong website url, or even updating a companies address to stuff like "San Francisco, Tunisia".

It had corrupted data, and it was nearly impossible to reverse. I have disabled Insights on every HubSpot instance I worked on for years as it posed a potential risk, especially when it came to campaigns or motions that were geographically based. As an example, if HS Insights incorrectly enriched a company's address as being in North America instead of Europe, where GDPR doesn't apply, it could expose your org to penalties if you were doing something not permissible under GDPR because you thought the company was based in Liverpool Kansas.
