I worked with support to figure this out. According to the documentation, in order to update the date/time of the next step, you have to first pause the sequence for that contact, then click resume. It will then open up the edit window where you can successfully change the date/time without any error.

It's an extra two clicks, which isn't the worst thing in the world. I did express that the error box should say something different other than "There was an error updating this sequence". I feel like it either needs to say to pause the sequence in order to update date/time, or the devs need to fix the code so you can update delivery date/time on the fly like I originally tried.

I started a new dynamic sequence today and sent out the first email to a handful of contacts. I got a few auto responses saying they were out of office, and they won't be back until after the step 2 delivery date. I'm a long time Salesloft user at previous jobs where everytime I recieved an automatic OOO email, the next step would automatically update accordingly.

I went to the contact and edited their enrolled sequence to update the delivery date of step two. I was able to change the date and time, but resulted in an Error when I clicked save.

No explanation or markings on what is causing the errors. I even tried on a few different contacts. Can someone help?

Also, if there Is a way to have hubspot automatically update the delivery date when those OOO emails come in, that would be awesome. I'm still an infant when it comes to Hubspot.See error notification box at the top

Hi @ANielsen8,

With these types of errors, it's typically best to reach out to HubSpot support in-app directly, via chat or email.

You can try the usual of course (clearing cache/cookies, different browser, deactivating extensions), but if that doesn't work, HubSpot support is your best option.

Best regards
