What are the differences between Date entered [lifecycle stage] and Became a [lifecycle stage] date

Hey Guys

Hubspot got 2 properties that seems to do quite the same thing, which is providing the date where a contact get to a specific lifecycle stage :

Date entered [lifecycle stage] (The date and time when the contact entered the[lifecycle stage])
Became a [lifecycle stage]
(The date when a contact's lifecycle stage changed to [lifecycle stage]. This is automatically set by HubSpot for each contact.)

Did anyone figure out the differences between these two properties and which one should be used ?

Moreover, the internal key for the Date entered [lifecycle stage] is hs_v2_date_entered_{lifecycle stage}
Is this v2_ normal ? Is it not the same as hs_date_entered_{lifecycle stage} that we're already requesting in some of our reports ?

The two properties you mentioned, "Date entered [lifecycle stage]" and "Became a [lifecycle stage]," serve slightly different purposes.

The difference is how these properties are handled if you move a contact's lifecycle stage backwards.

If you manually set a contact's lifecycle stage to a lesser value, the "Became a [lifecycle stage] date" property for lifecycle stages of greater value will be cleared. For example, if you move a contact's lifecycle stage from SQL to MQL, their "Became an SQL date" property will clear.
The other calculated lifecycle stage properties, like "Became a [lifecycle stage]" will not be cleared when you move a lifecycle stage backwards.
