BUG REPORT: Sequence issue with personalization token

I have created a sequence and when I add contacts to that sequence it often times does not populate the personalized token fields. Thus when I click enroll it sends the first email in the sequence as a "contact: first name" instead of inserting the contacts name.

As outlined here:

If you're sending a test email, only contact and company personalization tokens can be tested when you use the Receive email as a specific contact dropdown menu. You can learn more about sending test emails in this article.

I would recommend you please check if the personalization token for the first name is being used correctly in the marketing email. Could you make sure to double curly braces, like surround it?

Other steps include:

Could you verify that the contact property for the first name has a value for the recipient? You can do this by checking your HubSpot account's contact profile.
If the first name personalization token is not working, try using a different personalization token, such as the contact's last name or company name, to see if there is a specific issue with the first name token.
Lastly, If the issue continues, you may need to contact HubSpot support for more help.

Hey,

You could also send a test email to yourself or a test contact within HubSpot to check if the personalization tokens populate correctly. This allows you to see the email as your contacts would.

If the issue persists, reach out to HubSpot support for assistance. They can provide specific guidance based on your account and help troubleshoot any platform-specific issues.
