I have created a report for our marking team that has count of contacts/Direct Traffic. They want me to seperate the report based on, "person" email (gmail, yahoo, aol, etc) vs a business eamil address. Is there a way to do this?

@MReis9 to clarify, are you asking to isolate personal vs business emails for web analytics?

Can you share a snapshot of the report you're trying to provide this breakout for?

Sessions and other web analytics use source (organic vs paid, etc.) and while you can drill down to show contacts and customers created by source, you can't apply filters to the email property data.

There is an option to export the report details for contacts (or customers) by source to CSV, which includes the contact email address as a column where you could break it out by domain outside of HubSpot.

In the custom report builder, you can access both sessions (and other web metrics) as well as contact email, but it's not very easy to aggregate the data - you'd have to create one report that filtered for personal emails containing the specified domains and a second report filtered excluding those personal domains - these two reports combined on a dashboard would show you a breakout of sessions by email domain.

but from there, it gets a little tricky with how you would visualize the data and what you could actually glean from it.

Another option outside of reporting would be to create two contact lists - one list that indicates personal email domains and one that has those domains excluded.

Once you have the lists, you can use those in reporting or add additional filters to the list to indicate whether those contacts have visited the website.

Curious what the goal of this data is - how do they plan to use it? what's the benefit/objective?

I can not post a snippet of the actual report because it has customer info, but here is how I built it (also, please note that I am not an HubSpot expert and trying to help to figure everythign out). Basically I think I figured out that direct traffic (orginal source) = someone came to the website and clicked something. Marketing wants to know if we can take the report and seperate it by personal email vs business email: This was the request:

Also, there are email addresses that are gmail (likely personal addresses) and then there are emails with actual domains from either companies or websites. It would also be good to separate the two
