Custom Object Reporting - Limited Capabilities?

Hello all!

We have recently migrated our inventory from "deals" to a custom object called properties. Because of the migration, we are having to rebuild most of our reports. However, it looks like a lot of the fields and filters that we were using for our reporting are no longer available -- most notably, we had a deals report that we sorted based on its associated company. We no longer have the ability to even pull the custom object's associated company or contact into our reports.

Am I missing something, or is the custom object field that limited? Is there a workaround for this?

@SColemanRTR you should be able to do this with the Custom Report Builder by selecting your "Properties" custom object, the company object, and contacts object.

Then you can build a report with properties from each object and HubSpot will use the existing associations to display the data.

Thanks for the reply! The custom report builder still doesn't give us quite what we're needing, and HS Support actually confirmed that this exact function isn't possible, which is a major bummer. We're working on a workaround for our company right now but it stinks that custom objects don't have the same value and capabilities as deals!
