Hello Community I am trying to build a report for the leadership team and I am unsure of how to create it.
Here is the top-level blurb
Breakdown by week/month on total new companies coming onboard with a colour-coded legend on which product combination they have bought.

Essentially we have four products that we sell to our customers. We would like to view the product combinations that our customers have purchased so we can target them with new products.

Please help 🙂

Hey @MGranberg, thanks for reaching out! This is a cool use case.

I'm not sure how you're tracking all of this information today, but I'll try my best to give you some thoughts!

Hopefully you have a multi-select "Products" property that you're tracking for deals, associated companies, and associated contacts. It'll likely be easiest to share those values across objects to simplify the reporting setup. Next, hopefully you have some sort of a "Start Date" property that you're using to track when a new company comes on board (maybe it's the deal "Close Date" or something like that). If you aren't currently tracking the start date, you will need to create a custom date property and any workflows needed to update it.

From there, you should be able to start mixing and matching those properties to get the reports you're after. You can set the date filter following your selected date property to pull in only the records for that particular time period. Depending on where you're tracking this key info, you may be able to make reports for:

Deals closed within a certain timeframe by "Products"

Companies associated with deals closed within a certain timeframe by "Products"

It may be difficult to get all of this info in a single report, so consider breaking it out into multiple reports if needed. You could also potentially create reports filtered for specific "Products" values, like companies whose "Products" property = Product A and Product B that closed within a certain timeframe.

If you plan on targeting these companies/contacts, it could also be worth building them out as contact/company lists. You could then use that list membership to easily filter your reports.

Hope this helps at least get you started!!
