Deal Stages report on time spent in each deal stage

Hi,

I am having trouble building a report for deal stages the way I want it so am hoping I find an answer here instead... I am looking to build a report that shows me the total (or average) time deals have spent in each stage until they were converted/won. We want to analyse the time it took (in average) for the deals to move throughout the different stages and where they are spending the most time. I have attached a screenshot of what I'm trying to get to.

Hi @NHoff,

There is a default report in the report library which you might useful. Navigate to Menu > Reports > Reports > Report library and search for "Deal time spent in each stage".

It's a table view and not a funnel view like you're looking for. Your ideal report has unfortunately too many dimensions (conversion rate, time, count of deals) to display in one report.

Thanks, I looked at that report earlier... What if I was going to remove a dimension such as total amount deals per stage and just show average time spent per stage?

Hi @karstenkoehler , here's an example:

Deal Stage 1: 2 weeks in average

Deal Stage 2: 1 week average

Deal Stage 3: 4 weeks average

etc

Hi @NHoff,

That's exactly what the "Deal time spent in each stage" report in the report library is showing 🙂

Are you missing anything here? The deal stage would be the header row, the average in the totals row at the bottom.

Yeah, but the deal has to leave the stage for the days in stage to be calculated. It would be more helpful to have a running clock for time spent in the current stage.
