Activity leaderboard filtered by lifecycle stage

Hi There

I'm looking to create a custom report that displays exactly like the leaderboard in the sales dashboard but which only displays activities for certain lifecycle stages.

For our NBD we want to discount activity to contacts that aren't marked as a lead and only see the activity to contacts that are marked as leads.

I have nearly managed to create the report using cross object filters but this doesn't allow me to then quickly filter in on a specific date range and shows me all activity.

Hi @karstenkoehler

Please see below. This is the leaderboard which is from the report library. From my understanding it is a single object report. That object is activity and so the filters don't allow access to lifecycle stage as this is a contact or company property.

I have created the below report using cross object report but it doesn then give me the same options to filter by date.

Hi @Saulreal,

Unfortunately, that's expected behavior and a limitation of cross-object reports. This report can't be filtered by a time frame on a dashboard level.

If you want to filter this report by date, you would have to do so in the report settings via the Filters button on the upper left. You could set the filter to "Activity date is less than 30 days ago". (I can't explain why there is no "is this month" option right here.)

This would be a valid request to the product team, in my opinion, and you could post it in the HubSpot Ideas section of the community. The product teams reviews these suggestions based on popularity.

@karstenkoehler Thanks for your help with this, it's good to know that it's not just me and is in fact a limitation of the reporting. I will do as you suggest and add it to the ideas section.
