Feature Request: Ability to Add Multiple Fields on Y-Axis 2 in Combination Charts

Hi Team,

I’d like to raise a feature request for HubSpot’s custom report builder. Currently, in a combination chart, Y-Axis 1 supports multiple metrics, but Y-Axis 2 is limited to just one metric.

This limitation makes it difficult to compare multiple KPIs that are on different scales (e.g., Revenue, Deal Count, and Conversion Rate) in a single visualization. As a result, we are forced to:

Normalize values to the same scale,
Build multiple reports and place them side-by-side, or
Export the data to external BI tools like Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.

Requested Enhancement:

Enable multiple metrics on Y-Axis 2, similar to Y-Axis 1.
Allow toggling of series visibility, color customization, and independent axis scaling.

Benefits:

Cleaner, more insightful dashboards with fewer separate charts.
Easier comparison of KPIs across different scales.
Stronger adoption of HubSpot reporting, reducing the need to export data.

This enhancement would make HubSpot reporting more flexible and powerful for teams that need advanced analytics inside the platform.

The limitation on Y-Axis 2 in HubSpot’s combo charts makes it harder to compare KPIs that naturally live on different scales. Right now the only native workarounds are exactly what you mentioned: normalize values, build multiple reports side-by-side, or take the data outside HubSpot.

Until HubSpot expands the custom report builder, one quick way to get around this is to use Coefficient from the HubSpot marketplace. It's a certified 2-way sync between HubSpot and Google Sheets or Excel - alert I do work there!

How to Work Around the Limitation

Sync your HubSpot data into Sheets/Excel
- With Coefficient, you can pull in deals, revenue, conversion rates, or any custom KPIs you’re tracking.
- Keep the data refreshed automatically on a schedule (hourly, daily, or even on-demand).
Build your advanced combo chart in Sheets/Excel
- Spreadsheets are the most flexible visualization tool there is so you'll be able to add multiple series to both Y-axes, control scaling, toggle visibility, and adjust colors.
- If you’re in Google Sheets, Coefficient’s Sheets Assistant can even help write the formulas or set up the chart for you.
Embed back into HubSpot
- Use Google Sheets’ “Publish to Web” option to generate an embed code.
- In HubSpot, go to your dashboard → Actions → Add other content → Other content → paste the embed.
- Now your HubSpot dashboard displays the advanced chart, and it stays live in sync with your HubSpot data.

With this approach, you don’t lose the convenience of HubSpot dashboards, but you also aren’t limited by its reporting UI. You can compare revenue, deal count, conversion rate, and more in a single visualization with full flexibility.
