I understand what you were saying. I was just trying to work around the issue. Your solution of putting the report on a separate dashboard won't work either. If I create a report that shows all our account managers along with their activities, I, as a Super Admin, will see them all. If one of the account managers looks at the dashboard, they will ONLY see their activities. So, having something like a leaderboard seems impossible.

Dashboard filtering

I have a dashboard with various Sales and CRM reports. When each Account Manager views the dashboard, most of the reports automatically filter based on the user. So one account manager doesn't see another's numbers, which is fine. I don't want to create a dashboard for each person.

However, I want to have a "team" report that shows how all the account managers rate regarding activities. In this case, I DO want them to see the other numbers so they can see where they are in comparison to others and how they could improve. The problem is the dashboard filters out all the others so its only showing THIER activities. Is there a way to turn off dashboard filtering for an individual report?

Hi @esealpha,

No, generally dashboard filters apply to all eligible* reports on a dashboard. You can't set up any exclusions as part of dashboard filters.

* If however you manage to create the report in a way that dashboard filters cannot apply to it, that could be a workaround. Whether this is possible depends on what exactly the dashboard filters are and what exactly the report configuration looks like.

Alternatively, place the report on another dashboard or place a direct link to the report in a text box on the dashboard.

Best regards

It's basically a report of activities (meetings/emails/calls/etc.) by the Account manager. Your other dashboard comment gave me some hope, and I thought maybe I could put it on another dashboard and use the link to add to the original dashboard, but that isn't supported either.

Have you limited record and activity access at a permission level? In that case, no, there won't be any way users can see anything outside of their permissions.

Sorry. I put the report in a separate dashboard, hit Share > Copy URL, and then went to Actions > Add external content on the first dashboard and tried adding the URL. But it told me that adding HubSpot dashboard links is not supported. I just thought it might be a way around it.

In any case, one would have to leave the current dashboard as it is not possible to exclude a single report from dashboard filters.

@esealpha that's why I had mentioned this:

"Have you limited record and activity access at a permission level? In that case, no, there won't be any way users can see anything outside of their permissions."

If access to records and activities is limited through permissions not report filters, them there is no way to bypass it.

(It would be a security nightmare if it was. Permissions should overrule everything.)

It's not ideal for your goal of showing a leaderboard however, correct.
