Dashboard Reports Not Reporting

I have a quick question. Ive selected a custom report and created my own and attached it to my dashboard. The first day that I did all my activities it was being reported on that report. Now 2 days later Im refreshing to collect all the data from my activities (calls, emaila, meetings, etc.) and the report is not updating. Is there something that I am doing wrong?

Hi @LeoMac1980 ,

Can you double-check the report’s filter criteria? For example, if your report uses a filter like “Activity Date is today” and you're checking it a day later, it may show no results. That’s a common reason reports appear to “stop working.”

If you’re able to share a screenshot of the report setup or filters, that would really help in answering your specific question.
Also, keep in mind that HubSpot dashboards don’t update instantly; reports refresh at different intervals depending on the data type, as @karstenkoehler mentioned.

This dashboard right here has not been able to update in 2 days, even if I hit refresh. The data in there is two days old and I have already booked more appointmets, calls and eamils. Thats why Im confused. Thank you for your help!

@LeoMac1980 to troubleshoot this from a distance, I would need more information. Can you please share a screenshot of the report filters (click slider icon in the top right corner of the report tile, then click into the report filters) – can you then please also share a screenshot of a meeting that you'd expect to show in the report? Please make sure that any personal information about the people involved is pixelated.

Thanks for your question! It sounds like you're on the right track by creating a custom report and adding it to your dashboard. If your recent activities (calls, emails, meetings, etc.) aren’t showing up in the report after refreshing, here are a few things to double-check:

Date Filters: Make sure your report has the correct date range set. If it's filtered to show only a specific day (like the day you created it), it won’t pull in newer data. Try changing the filter to:

“This week”

“Last 7 days”

Or a custom rolling date range
Activity Types: Confirm that your report is actually pulling in the Activity object (not just deals or contacts), and that the correct activity types (calls, emails, meetings) are selected in the filters or fields.

Data Source: If you’re tracking activities across multiple objects (like Contacts and Deals), make sure you're using the Activity data source, or using associations properly (e.g. “Activities associated with Deals”).

Refresh Time: Sometimes there’s a short delay in the dashboard updating. Try clicking into the report from the dashboard and manually refreshing it.

User Filters: If you're filtering by activity owner, confirm you’re looking at the right user, or remove the filter to check if data shows up.

If everything looks good and it’s still not updating, it may help to rebuild the report step by step to isolate where it might be getting blocked.

I have found that custom reports aren't great for activity tracking and using single object reports are far more reliable for this situation. The refresh speed is faster also, so for live monitoring I would recommend trying that route.
