Using the Order Object in Single Object Reports

I've just updated my shopify intergration to the newst version and now have ecom purchases heading to the new "Orders" object. I do think it's good to have this seperate from Deals BUT I want to know if it's possible to create Single Object reports using Orders data? The Single object forms handle year on year reporting much better than the reports made using the Custom Report Builder and I really don't want to have to completely redesign my Ecom dashboards around their limitations.

Hey @WTaitt! From what I understand, the orders object is not yet available in the single-object report builder. To verify, I want to also tag in @HFisher7, @Ben_M, and @Shadab_Khan -- have y'all had any experience reporting on the Orders object? Any tips or tricks you have would be greatly appreciated!

I can absolutely see the value of single object reports on Orders -- I encourage you to consider creating a post on our Ideas Forum here. If you find a similar idea, give it an upvote and share your unique use case in the comments.

Hi @WTaitt ,

Yeah, from what I can tell, the Orders object isn’t supported in the single object report builder right now. I totally get it though - single object reports are super handy, especially with those dashboard-level filters that let you update everything dynamically. It really does make the dashboard experience way smoother.

But unfortunately, for Orders, that’s not available yet. Best thing you could do for now is check the Ideas forum to see if someone’s already suggested this, or maybe raise a new idea yourself. Sometimes product managers actually pick those up and add them to the roadmap.

In the meantime, one workaround I use is to keep those custom reports (the ones that don’t support dashboard-level filters) on a separate dashboard. Then, on your main dashboard, you can add a text block at the top with a short description and hyperlink to that second dashboard. I do this to keep things connected - so you’ve got your main reports in one place and then easy links out to related dashboards without cluttering everything.

Not perfect, but kinda helps with navigation until HubSpot hopefully adds more support for Orders.
