Hi all,

I'm trying to figure out how to create and use calculation properties to help us gather the conversion rate of Deals open vs Deals closed/won in a certain time period.

The use of it is to be used in reporting as we currently have one report showing how many Deals each staff memeber has and a second report showing how many Deals they've closed in a certain time period. Calculating the conversion rate having to be done mannually, where I'd actually prefer to have all 3 of these metrics on the one report.

I know in the background of a Deal there is [Is Open], [Is Closed], and [is Closed Won] where depending on where they are in the pipeline will either be atributed a 1 or a 0.

I've tried making a calculation property where the formaular is:
([Is Open] / [Is Closed Won]) but when put into reporting the results come up illegible.

My understanding is that this is the only thing I'm needing to do prior to reporting and that the rest is about filtering the report in a certain way.

Hi @LSugrue,

Using a calculation property won't work here as a it's calculated on a per-record basis and a single record does not have a conversion rate. A conversion rate, per definition, only exists over multiple records. A single record either has converted or has not.

IF you want to see your close rate per rep, you can follow these steps I outlined in a post a few days ago 🙂 https://community.hubspot.com/t5/Dashboards-Reporting/Seeing-close-rate-as-in-a-report/m-p/1100736

Best regards
