Deal Created by Field

I'm trying to create a custom report that shows who within my team has created a deal. It appears to be some-what working, but the majority of them show a blank field. Does anyone know why that could be happening?

Hi @adobson,

Are all deals created manually or do some come from automation, imports, API? You can check by including the record source in your report.

Great question! The majority of them are automated, which is probably the problem.

Is there a way to bypass that?

@adobson if they're created by automation, they're not created by a user – there isn't a way to change that. But you can always look at the deal owner property?

What are your settings and filters for the report? Have you look at record source and it's drill-down properties?

Deal owner is different from created by (for our team). We have an Inside Sales team that creates the deal and passes it off to our Sales Reps.
