The number of Deals that were Open last year at the end of the year

Hello, colleagues,

I broke my head today trying to create a comparison report where I can see year-by-year (23 vs 24) reports with Deals in Open status, meaning all Land Deals, excluding Lost and Acquired.

I created the report for Open Deals for the current year 2024, meaning all open deals in the Land pipeline for today - Amazing! How do you create the same report by having it either one by one, meaning next to each other for comparison, or just one report with year-to-year comparison?

I believe that to be able to "travel back in the past," we need to have snapshots of data that will reflect the same data and filters for 2023 that we use now for 2024. How ?)

Hey @ISmolin! Thanks for your post! This report would be based on Deal counts and you wouldn't need any existing report data to show it. You would see deals that fit the criteria at this moment in time, then you'd see the deals that fit the same criteria last year.

Currently, with Create Date of All Time it shows that you have a total of 50 deals matching that criteria in your CRM, last year you had a total of 2 deals that fit that criteria. That doesn't guarantee that they were created last year.

If you want to see a comparison of total Deals created each year, I would change the Create Date filter to is this year.

If that still doesn't look right, could you share a screenshot example of a Deal that you'd expect to see in the Last Year column that does not appear on this report? That may give us more context to troubleshoot your filters!
