Custom fields

Hey, I have just started using the free CRM to track our adverting (print) sales. I have all my contacts in but I need to assign the various publications to them. I have some contacts who book into more than one publication.

I have tried adding as properties.. deals but it isn't functional...

Any other ad agencies using it or can anyone suggest how I add custom fields so "Publication1" to each of the contacts and then be able to search for it.

Advice / tips would be much appreciated.

Hi @JO_Andrews79,

What I would do is add a custom field using a field type of Multiple Checkboxes. From here you can add all of the potential publication names and allow a contact to be associated with them. After that you'll be able to then use that field for filters.

Hi Josh, Amazing - thank you. I did that earlier but then deleted as didn't think it was the right way - now I can't find where to add the fields in again with the multi-check boxes - where will I find it?

Field Type: Multiple Checkboxes (second one down)
