Shopify Order to Deal

Hi there - I'm fairly new to hubspot and have a quesiton about Shopify + Hubspot Integration. (I have a Shopify store synced to my Hubspot, using the newer Shopify data sync integration.)

My ideal scenario is to create this custom pipeline to help our sales team follow up with folks who purchased from our website. The goal is to facilitie a second or higher value sale after the initial sale is made on Shopify.

CUSTOM PIPELINE STAGES

An order from Shopify, with all informaiton, enters stage 1 (auto)
Follow up Call (manual)
3-part Email Series (automatic)
Follow up Call (manual)
Close second sale (manual)

MY PROBLEM

I am having trouble with the first stage. How can I tell Hubspot to automatically put an order and all of it's information into a deal in the proper stage?

So far I have tested using "order-based workflows" and adding automatic triggers to assign a deal to stage. This has worked HOWEVER, none of the sale information is include din the deal....the deal is essentially empty.

Summary

So in summary, I want to create an automation that simply takes known order information and puts into a deal for my sales team to follow up with.

Thank you for contacting the Community! It sounds like you are using a workflow to assign a deal a specific stage however you are not seeing specific Order information on the deal. What type of information are you looking to see on the deal specifially?

With workflows you can create deals and update specific properties while creating the deal or use tokens to update specific order values on the deal. You could also copy property values over to your deal properties with a workflow.

Taking a look at your pipeline, are you looking to use a sequence to create tasks for users and send follow up emails once the tasks are completed?

Yes, I think this is exactly what I am trying to figure out! How to map, for example, line items, total cart value, discounts, tracking info, etc from the Order into the Deal.

Why I want this:

The goal here is that our sales/support team can call the customer and offer guidance shortly after the order is placed, tee up relationship, and eventually close to a second, higher value sale later. The sales teams needs this order info so that they can speak knwoledgeably to the customer.

My Workflow

This is the automation to take an order, create a deal, and put it into custom pipeline...

My Pipeline

This is the pipeline where the deal lands (stage 1). Note that stage 1 is populated by the above auotmation...that part works...

The Deal in My Pipeline

When you click any of the deal cards for more info though, it's basically empty of meaningful info. I want the meaningful order info to appear here.

So my next quesiton/possible solution: I must be missing a step in the Workflow that "updates properties" of Deal with properties of the Order...is this correct? If so - can you help me understand how to do so?

Hi @winsorcm , so you were able to create a deal in the first deal stage when the order is created on Shopify but not able to pull the details, right?
Can you please try this method of 'Copy Property Value'?
After the action 'deal creation' in the workflows, next action (after a delay of few mins), chose COPY PROPERT VALUE:

then next. select, from where you want to copy the value from (enrolled object), target object and what property:

Hi @winsorcm , just saw this post of yours. Yes, I have mentione the next step in workflow: COPY PROPERTY VALUE. If the properties that you are trying to copy from teh Order is not there in the Deals, you first have to create the Deal Custom Properties.

For some reason I dont see the Copy Property Value in the options. I tried to find it with the search, AI and under the "Edit Record" option, but nowhere the copy record as in your screenshot. Any tips?
