How can I limit Hubspot to Salesforce One-Way Sync

Hello,

I curently have a sync between Hubspot and Salesforce for certain properties.

I would like to limit the sync for a specific property so that Hubspot is the only source of truth to be able to update that given property.

For example, I have a property called "Name".

1. Hubspot "Name" value = ABC123

2. Hubspot > Salesforce Sync modifies Salesforce "Name" value to ABC123

3. Salesforce or Agent makes a modification in Salesforce for "Name" to ABC1234

4. Hubspot does not ingest the new value and the "Name" is still ABC123.

Is there a way to enable this?

Yes, you modify the sync rule between the salesforce and Hubspot like in the given image below.

Also, you need to make sure the field mapping to two two-way sync. So whenever the value gets changed either in HubSpot or salesforce it will show up the new value.

We are actually only looking for a one way sync between Hubspot to Salesforce for this property.

In your solution, it seems like you are proposing a two-way sync. Do you have a solution for the former?

If you choose to prefer salesforce, the value gets updated with the most recent value from the salesforce and Hubspot will update the salesforce value.
If you choose Always salesforce - Hubspot gets updated from the salesforce.
If you choose two-way sync - whatever you updated in Salesforce or in HubSpot, you will see the new value.

We want Hubspot to be source of truth for the one way sync. Not salesforce in this case.

Hi @SHassamal I have run into the same question and problem you have but it seems the solution above is not what solves the problem. Did you ever figure it out?
