Hello,

Currently, we utilize SyncQ for syncing QBO invoice data to Hubspot, and it's functioning adequately. We're contemplating a shift towards directly synchronizing QBO invoices with Hubspot's invoice module. One observation I've made is that this synchronization process depends on syncing QBO customers with Hubspot contacts. However, our QBO customers are companies, not individuals. Has anyone found a workaround for this situation?

Hey @BTeam!

Great question! We also have the QBO integration, and our QBO is set up like yours. Customers are company (not contacts).

When you add a new customer with only an email address and company name, the integration will sync the new QBO customer has a contact record with no first and last name.

If the email address already exists within HubSpot, you won't see anything change.

So the same goes for saying if you add in a first and last name to the QBO Customer, the contact record will be added with those details.

Company name is mapped to the Company name field on the contact object, not the Company object.

Let us know if you have any follow-up questions!

Cheers,
Justin

If this answers your question, don't forget to mark it as the solution.

Thank you very much for providing this information. @MrJustinGivens

Just to confirm my understanding: are your QuickBooks Online (QBO) customer records synchronized as contact objects in HubSpot? How do you handle situations where there are both company and contact objects with the same name? Does this ever lead to confusion for other teams using the data?

Additionally, how do you manage QBO fields that contain multiple email addresses, and is there a method for manually matching these QBO records in Hubspot?
