Quickbooks Online integration fails to create Estimate from Hubspot Quote

I'm trying to get an Estimate created in Hubspot to create an Estimate in Quickbooks. My company is in Canada and uses GST/HST as an overall tax for the estimate.

Based on the error (see attached screenshot) I think the QB integration expects the tax to be applied on a per-line-item basis.

Any insight or ideas?

You’re not alone in hitting this wall. The QuickBooks Online app for HubSpot still applies taxes differently depending on the region. HubSpot Quotes only support global tax (like GST/HST in Canada), but QuickBooks requires taxes to be attached per line item.

That mismatch is why the Estimate creation fails. HubSpot documents it here

As of 2025, the native connector hasn’t introduced a way to transform global tax into per-line tax. Teams usually handle this either by reworking their Quote templates in HubSpot to match QuickBooks’ expectations, or by introducing middleware that reshapes the data before it lands in QuickBooks
