Apollo integration with HubSpot

Hello HS community, hope all you are doing great, and if you can give me a hand with this, would really appreaciate it 😁

I wanted to see how to automate the creation of Deals through the mailing campaigns I have active in Apollo.

I have integrated both platforms, however I would like to automate the creation in HubSpot of Deals, with the contacts and companies I am interacting with in Apollo.

I find it very useful to find emails in Apollo and automate sequences, but I waste a lot of time doing all the manual creation of companies and deals in Hubspot.

Tried to use Zapier for this but I could not make it.

Any idea or tip about how can I solve this is completely welcome.

Are you talking about this Apollo-HubSpot integration?

I wanted to refer you to this help article from Apollo regarding how to sync data between HubSpot and Apollo. Perhaps there is a way to trigger a workflow with the data sync!

I'd recommend reaching out to Apollo as they were the ones to build the integration and they will be better able to explain how it works and if the goal you seek is possible. You can find their contact information on this page: support@apollo.io, https://www.apollo.io/contact.

Hey @MBarros5 ! I also use Apollo, and when I go to the "Opportunities" tab, it says : "Apollo does not support bi-directional sync between Apollo Opportunities and Hubspot Deals yet."

At least they've acknoweldged it, and hopefully it will work in the future!

Hi @MBarros5,

These record types do not sync natively, according to Apollo's documentation. However you do have some options here:

1) You could use Zapier or another iPaas platform to share the data between the two platforms. This of course requires a third-party tool but may be the easiest way to populate Deals with data from Apollo. Even then, it may not work seamlessly and you may need to do some workarounds, as determining what constitutes a deal in HubSpot may not be straight-forward in Apollo. Do you think you would use email threads that received a reply as a deal? Or ones that have been marked as interested?

2) You could export the information from Apollo and import it manually into HubSpot. this may not be an ideal solution but with a CSV you'll have a lot of control over the data that you are importing and how deals are named and described in HubSpot, which is often important for the deals object if you want it to be searchable and segmentable.

Full disclosure, I work for Insycle, but certain fields and objects not syncing natively is a pretty common problem with CRM-app integrations. We recently wrote about it here if you'd like to get a little more context .

I figured it out.

Create a custom contact field in Hubspot. I named it Apollo Deals and it's a checkbox.
Create the same Custom Field for contact in Apollo.

Create a Workflow in Hubspot that when Apollo Deals is set to Yes, it created a Deal from them.
Then all you need to do it manually set Apollo Deal custom field to Yes when the contact in Apollo reached the desired stage for you to create a deal out of them.

Does it make sense?
