App for generating Gantt charts

Does anyone have any recommendations for an add on that can generate a Gantt Chart? We don't need an entire project management application - just the ability to map dates in a custom object to a gantt chart - which we can then provide to our customers.

At this time, HubSpot does not have a feature that replicates a Gantt chart and the system does not currently allow for software to integrate with HubSpot that would give users the ability to create a Gantt chart. Having said that, I see the value in having that be a feature in the HubSpot platform. I encourage you to upvote this post in HubSpot's Ideas Forum to boost its visibility. Our Product Team routinely monitors this forum to see which ideas are popular and assess the possibility of adding that functionality to HubSpot.

Hubspot already kind of has a gantt chart through the use of queues and tasks:

1. create a queue (tasks > manage queues > create queue)
2. create task docs associated with all the contacts, companies, or deals that are involved in the project
3. for each task doc, make sure to select the queue you created using the pull down menu option
4. create a task view labeled "Gantt" and then add the filter "queue is known"...this simply creates a view that only contains task docs that are assigned to a queue
5. make sure the "gantt" task view includes columns like status, queue, title, associated contact, notes, due date, etc

To make it even more gantt-like, I recommend that a developer at hubspot simply create a new field in the task doc called "start date" and then enable users to also include that field as a column in the "gantt" task view. Even without a "start date" field, you could still provide that function by typing "Start Date: mm/dd/yy" into the notes field, and then include it in the "gantt" view.

Hey @FMaher!

You might not need an add-on anymore! HubSpot just rolled out a new Projects object that includes a native Gantt chart view (currently in public beta).

If you enable the Projects object in your portal (Settings → Objects → Object library → Projects) and then opt into the Gantt beta from the Product Updates section, you’ll be able to:

Create project records with start dates, due dates, and durations
See them mapped automatically on a Gantt chart
Track timelines project timelines (with more features like subtasks, dependencies, and templates already listed as “in development”)

Right now, the Gantt chart view is tied to Projects, so it won’t display timelines directly from custom objects yet. But if your goal is lightweight project tracking + timeline visualization inside HubSpot, this is definitely worth testing before reaching for a third-party tool.
