Automatically synching gmail to hubspot

I wish to automatically sync emails I receive into my Gmail account into Hubspot. I have set up the Chrome Sales Extension and it's all connected correctly and showing the green light. In the 'Log and Track' settings I have the log and track email settings in the on position, but when I send a test email it still asks me to 'log email to Hubspot' under the address bar. When I click into it, it identifies the client and company correctly with a tick box next to each and it asks me to save it. How do I automate this? I have spent a long time messing around with settings but there seems to be no clear definition to why this is not happening automatically with the settings I have. Where am I going wrong please?

Hi Melanie,

How are you sending your emails? It's important to note that the HubSpot Gmail integration does not automatically track all communications.

Instead, it simply allows HubSpot to send emails through your Gmail account. HubSpot does not monitor every incoming and outgoing email for automatic logging.

To track or log emails, you must either send them directly from the HubSpot CRM, the sales extensions or the BCC address.

Replies will be tracked when the following conditions are met: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/email/log-email-replies-in-the-crm

- The original email was sent through the CRM or sent from your connected personal email client with the sales email extension or add-in installed and the Log checkbox selected.
- The original email was not sent to an email address or domain listed in your Never Log list.
- The personal email address is still connected when the reply is received.
- The reply is sent to a personal email connected by an active user.
- The reply has the same subject line as the original email.
