Email sending blocked by our email provider Hostinger because of a hubspot link in the email

Hi,

Hostinger- our email provider blocked the ability for me to send emails, because:
The domain name hs-salescrm-engage.com was marked as spam by end recipients hence the emails weren't going through

What is this link? Is it a link of a hubspot tool? I use tracking and logging emails from my personal gmail accont, that I use as my email client (emails received via pop3 and sent via smtp - from hostinger).

I would like to prevent this from happening again, as I was not able to communicate with clients, until I resolved the issue with hostinger. Can anyone help me out here?

Hi @liviasellcros,

That looks like you're using the free HubSpot tools and haven't connected/authenticated your sending domain. That's why the HubSpot infrastructure is being used.

You would have to upgrade to any of the mentioned Starter subscriptions here to connect and authenticate your sending domain: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/marketing-email/manage-email-authentication-in-hubspot

Thanks a lot. Is there any way how I can update the SPF record with hubspot credentials withour having to pay for hubspot?

OK. Today, I got an update from our email provider: The email was getting flagged as spam due to the presence of URL hs-salescrm-engage<dot>com. That fingerprint is for the domain hs-salescrm-engage<dot>com, which was reported as having had its website compromised. So, they need to clear out the junk HTML files and secure the server before it can be reset. The owner needs to secure the site before it can be reviewed.

Is there anything that I can do abou this?

@liviasellcros this domain is managed by HubSpot and I'd be surprised if it was actually compromised. In any case, these aren't changes that you can make. You would have to upgrade to one of the mentioned Starter subscriptions and authenticate your email sending domain.

So let's say, we pay for one seat for sales starter. I authenticate our email sending domain. What if after some time, we will figure I am not using the paid functions that much and we go back to the free version? My email sending domain stays authenticated?

@liviasellcros as far as I know it won't, no. One of the subscriptions mentioned in the article is required to maintain the authentication.
