Email sent from gmail not getting logged in activity

I have connected my hubspot to gmail . Now I am sending email to a contact' email using gmail (directly opening gmail and sending) . This email is not getting logged in my activity or emails area.

Hi @hbuser33,

Have you also installed the Chrome extension? Connecting your email address is not enough for email tracking. It simply authorizes HubSpot to let you send emails from the CRM (from records, for example).

If you want emails to be automatically logged when sending those emails outside of HubSpot, you need the extension or the BCC address: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/connected-email/log-email-in-your-crm-with-the-bcc-or-forwarding-address

Thanks ! I used bcc address and the mail is logging but if a contact replies back to that email it is not logged in activity area

@hbuser33 the email address is static and doesn't change, why would want to fetch it via API?

@hbuser33 then you don't need an API endpoint for this. The BCC address always follows the same syntax. You just need the portal ID and then concatenate it with @bcc.hubspot.com: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/connected-email/log-email-in-your-crm-with-the-bcc-or-forwarding-address
