Connection error: There are no HubSpot accounts for (email address)

Hello there,

I am struggling to get Hubspot working with my email, which is a gmail account.

In a previous role I had a similar setup working well so I think I know what it should look like when it works.

I log into Hubspot using my google credentials.

I have added my email account as a personal email in settings/general/email, and that appears to work. (I get the message "[email] is now connected to HubSpot"

I then get a message inviting me to download the extension for chrome which I do.

When I open gmail, I get a message saying "Set up your HubSpot Sales extension". If I click connect on the 'all features' box, it looks as if it has worked, but the hubspot icon in gmail has a red dot by it and I get a message which says "There are no HubSpot accounts for [email]

To keep your data secure, your email tools need to be connected to a HubSpot account. If you have accounts with a different username, log in to view them."

If I then click 'log in' it looks as if something happens, but I get returned to the message "Set up your HubSpot Sales extension"

I do not have any other hubspot accounts.

I have tried removing the email address from husbpot and the extension from chrome, and repeating the process, but it still doesn't work.

I can send emails from within hubspot but I want emails I send from gmail to go into hubspot and be stored there.

Please help - what am I doing wrong?

Are you currently having issues login into your HubSpot account or just connecting the email address? I want to share this knowledge base here with more details about it. Thank you for responding.

Otherwise my account was working fine, it was just the email integration that I had a problem with.

I found this in the community and it appears to have fixed my problem
