Is there any sync between original source of company and contact?

Hello,

We'd like to upload our targeted (tier2 and tier3) companies to the Hubspot.

I know that since they will be imported their original source will be Offline Sources. It's not a problem for us since we do not take into account of the Company's original source for reporting. For us the original source of the contact is much important.

If we import these companies and when someone from that company signs up, does it affect the Original source of the contact? I cannot test this scenario in sandbox account since it's hard to reproduce this. We simply upload out target accounts to hubspot to track our sales and marketing efforts.

Scenario:

Company A is imported on August 2024 and contact X from company A signed up on December 2024 from paid social campaign.

Outcome:

Company A : Original source is offline. (as of August 2024)

Contact X: Original source is Paid social. (as of December 2024)

Hey @06401 the original source will be the source of that record, not any associated records.

So only the source that creates your contact will be set as the original source.
