Import of contacts & companies with exisiting data

Hello,

I am trying to import a list of contacts and comapanies, all from the same excel sheet with the columns matching.

I know a big part of these accounts are already in my hubspot, and this is fine because these are leads that have been enriched so I am looking to overwrite the data on exisiting records, which i think i setted up correctly.

What i am not understanding is what is the best way to find a complete list of these accounts ? (the new ones + the ones that have been enriched)

I thought I would be able to do that by adding a tag to the company but when i look up for my tag it shows me only the newly created company and not the existing.

Do you have any tips or guidance for me ? Thanks in advance!

Within the Import overview you are able to select the objects you imported, looks like this screenshot:

Hi Frank, thanks for your answer. Indeed when doing this I see all the newly imported companies but I also want to see the exisiting ones that supposedly were enriched with the additional data that I imported but

1) I'm not sure that they are actually enriched, because when filtering on the tag that i want to apply for companies i see only the new ones

2) If eventually they have been enriched, I do not see them showing im the report

Any ideas ?

Hi @JMorchipont

Just to double-check a few things.

1. When you say "filtering on the tag" I assume you are referring to company property? If so what is the property type?

2. When you do your contact and company import, have you selected the "Create and Update" option for companies?

3. When matching your import file to HubSpot during the import process, have checked or unchecked the "manage existing values" option?

4. If you have, has the import thrown up any errors? You can see those in the import overview?

If you have selected "create and update" and there have been no errors, clicking on the "view imported records" will always show both newly created and updated records.

Hello, thanks again for the guidance. It seems like it works this time. What I did is : select "create and update companies" + Checked the box "Manage existing values" -> except for the "Company tag" company property (which is a drop down select property"

It seems like it created new ones + update the exisiting ones including a "forced update" of the company tag, thanks !
