Rollup field is empty

Hi all, I created a rollup property for MRR as we have certain products that are not considered recurring and I couldn't use the standard MRR property.

The property seems to be working well on new deals - when I add a line item it makes the calculation. My problem is with existing deals - it doesn't seem to be working and the property remains empty. Is there a way to enrol all deals to the property?

sure!

I also did a test and created a new deal with the exact same products, terms and pricing as an existing deal. In the new deal the new property was populated while in the existing deal it wasn't. I tried editing the line items in the existing deal in the hopes it would tiger the rollup but it didn't.

@TShemesh8 I'm not seeing an obvious mistake in how this is set up or tested - I think the fastest way to resolve this would be for you to reach out to HubSpot support in-app 🙂

Hi all, I wanted to give an update and ask another question:

I reached out to HS support, was not helpful at all, didn't understand the problem after multiple emails. In the end, it was a sales ops friend who theorized that maybe deals that were created before the rollup field weren't updated because the filter I have (recurring = yes/no) is blank on those deals.

After a quick check - that is correct - I updated a property on the product level for each product to say whether they were recurring or not. I didn't expect that these properties would remain empty on existing line items. Now I need to update all the line items with this data.

I have tried:

- Workflow - started great but I can't add an action to change a property on the line item (only deals and other related objects for some reason).

- Exporting a report - can't export line item reports.

- Mass update on a view - can't view line item properties on deal view.

Does anyone have a way for me to mass update a field on existing line items without having to go one by one?
