Any suggestions on where to start with the cross-object report? There isnt a property that counts the sequence of associated deals to a Contaact, that I am aware of. Thanks!

I am trying to figure out a couple of things.

1) whichs of our products are purchased first by contacts. We have a number of free courses that generates a $0 deal and want to be able to say "X% of people purchases this product as their 1st purchase"

2) the order in which other products are purchased by contacts. We have a group of courses that all need to be purchased but can be purchased in any order. We want to be able to say "course A is purchased 1st in the path X% of the time".

I think the solution would be the same in both cases but need a slight variation. Also, okay with just being able to track the order in which all deals are purchased, in relation to a contact.
Ex: John Doe has 5 deals associated. Product A is deal #1, Product G is deal #2, Product F is deal #3, etc

You might need to testout some Cross-object Reporting here. However I have found a new BETA Update that might solve your use-case

CRM PLATFORM | PRODUCTS & QUOTES

View Products Purchased from the Contact or Company Record

19 Feb 2024

What is it?

You can now see what products your customer has purchased from you, directly from the Contact or Company record.

Why does it matter?

Want to know if your customers have ever purchased your green bike product? How about what's the top item they buy from you? Where do they spend the most money with you?

Right now, you'd need to open all the associated deals, scroll to line items, then do a lot of mental modeling to find the answer.

Say hello to the new Product History card for the middle panel.

How does it work?

This Product History card lets you see the products (line items) from your customer's last 100 Deals. You can also use the card for new Orders objects.

To add the Product History card, go to a Contact record. Click Customize Tabs. Pick your team (or choose default). Pick a tab and click Add Card. Select the Product History card under Standard Cards. Save and Exit.

Repeat for the Company record if you want it in both places.

When you return to the Contact or Company record, you'll see the card appear in the middle panel. You can search, filter, re-organize columns, and see what deal or order the product came from.

Hey @ECole

I think you can get that with a custom report

cross object contact/company and products/deals.

Another option that is rather new

I having a custom card in the middle column of your records showing this information

for example the last 5 purchases in order.

This last option need programming but could be a good solution for you.

Hope this helps

Love this, thank you. It is helpful on an individual basis.

The cross-obejct reporting might be more the solution I am looking for as I am trying to report to our EC what product is often purchased first and then order of purchasing specific products. Any thoughts on what the report would look like? I cant come up with what the sequential property I would need to use. Maybe there is a native property that I am not aware of.
