Looking to sell eBook > Payment link with instant download?

Hi All,

I'd like to sell an eBook quickly at an upcoming conference and already created the QR code for my new eBook payment link, but I'd rather not manually email the eBook pdf to each client. They'll all be expecting instant download upon payment. Who has done this before? Can Hubspot email a file to clients right after they pay?

Happy to help @PamCotton, this is a really great idea @THoll and the easiest way to do this would be to create a dedicated landing page as a thank you page once the payment is complete. On the landing page, they can directly download the ebook.

The form submission/payment can also trigger an email automatically that provides a copy - just in case they don't want to download it on their phone right away.

Would love to know how the event goes and feedback about the experience!

Two questions on this:

1) Wouldn't a landing page be searchable and risk the security of the ebook?

2) when you mention the payment can trigger an email - is that a Workflow? Workflows may require the contact to be a Marketing Contact, and I don't think I've figured out how to set someone as Marketing Contact when they make a payment (if they aren't already a Marketing Contact). Can that be automated?

Hi @PReiman happy to answer your questions:

1 - not if you add the landing page to your robots.txt

2 - yes, the form submission can trigger an email via automation/workflow. the same workflow can also set them as a Marketing Contact using this option in the workflow:
